Territory Manager - Dallas, TX Based

Job Description :

This outside sales position is for a Sales Representative based in the Dallas area for the territory of North Texas, OK, AK and will include surrounding areas. We are an established company that has been in business since 1991 and we are the leading regional, independently owned, outside sales force company. We represent manufacturers found throughout grocery stores including natural and organic foods, health and beauty care, vitamins, and household goods. This outside sales job will include managing a geographic territory; selling to and servicing established designated natural and specialty grocery retail stores, as well as, developing and cultivating new relationships. We are looking for an aggressive self starter with natural and organic foods, beauty care and/or nutrition background and education. The job duties include selling in new items; training; education; setting up & maximizing promotions and sales with customers; conducting business meetings and reviews; some physical resets; and additional tasks. This is a salary position plus benefits. Natural Food Industry Experience; or Health & Beauty Care and/or Vitamin - Supplement knowledge is preferred. Relatable experience accepted. Overnight travel is required.

Job responsibilities include the following:

  • Achieve sales goals
  • Provide excellent customer service and develop strong customer relationships for Maximum
  • Perform 3-5 sales calls per day, following Maximum Marketing store procedure
  • Comply with outside sales call frequency requirements with efficient routing.
  • Present new products and expand distribution on existing products
  • Present promotions and marketing strategies utilizing data, sales tools, and other resources to obtain the sale
  • Meet the needs of clients
  • Attend key account events
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times
  • Follow the rules and regulations of each retail account you are working in
  • Preparation, presentations, and follow up to key account headquarters
  • Return phone calls within company time frame requirements
  • Answer email within company time frame requirements
  • Attend specified sales meetings and/or trade shows (approx 5 per year)
  • Accurate and timely submission of paperwork and reporting
  • Handle resets as needed including overnight resets
  • Arrive to scheduled appointments and sets, on time and ready to work; and stay at resets until entire set is finished and Maximum Marketing paperwork responsibilities are completed
  • Great team player
  • Represent and promote our mission statement
  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by Management
Job Requirements :
  • Strong communication and selling skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multi task
  • Overnight travel
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Valid driver’s license; acceptable driving record; and must have clean, presentable, reliable transportation
  • Have working office space with a working computer with Office programs: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Adobe Reader (at minimum)
  • Have adequate space for samples, literature, and any other work materials
  • Lifting up to 25#
  • Merchandising Skills
  • Specified weekend and evening work required
